Addiction App for Livestrong.com (2017)

UI • UX • Branding • Marketing

In 2017, MyQuit was at risk of being dropped from the app store due to outdated code. Rather than shelve this valuable tool, Leaf Group invested in its revitalization. The result was a beautiful quit-smoking app that had users writing in to tell us how we helped save their lives by reducing their smoking cravings through tracking and community support.

This became my first opportunity to redesign an app from the ground up. Maintaining a large portion of the UX, I was able to refine the layout and look to improve usability. Our goal was to improve the experience for existing users, without introducing confusion, and bringing it up to current design standards to make things easy for new users. I also created a new logo for the app that I’m still quite proud of.
